Fees Policy

Holders of valid Health Care Card, Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) cards, Pensioners and children aged under 16 years of age will be bulk-billed. A $30 gap fee applies to both Standard and Long Consultations. Further information is provided on our Fee Schedule. 


Accounts are issued at the time of service, with a request for full payment on the day. 


Payment is accepted in the form of: Cash, EFTPOS (two way system), Visa or MasterCard


A $30.00 fee may apply for procedures which require the use of our Surgical Facility. 


Bulk billing applies to all children under the age of 16. 

Telephone Calls

Our Doctors are unable to receive phone calls whilst they are consulting with Patients. Most problems are best handled via direct consultation. Our Staff are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires an appointment or urgent attention.Our Nurse may also be available to speak with you if you require medical assistance. 


Your Doctor will advise you when you attend for an appointment, the procedure for obtaining test results. If your results are urgent, your Doctor will call you directly.  


Riverside Family Medical Practice operates a recall/reminder system to remind you to attend for routine investigations and/or immunisations. Please advise your Doctor if you do not wish to be included on our Recall System. It is recommended all women over the age of 18 years have a Pap Smear every 2 years (or more often as advised by your Doctor).

Referrals Prescriptions and Sick Certificates

All referrals, prescriptions and Sickness Certificates (new and repeat) require a consultation wiith a Doctor. Riverside Doctors will not back date referrals. 

Infection Control

Riverside Family Medical Practice is a fully accredited practice and follows the guidelines recommended by the Australian Medical Association and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners regarding infection control and sterilizing.

Patient Feedback

Riverside Family Medical Practice operates according to the Australian Medical Association Code of Ethics. Patients are welcome to provide us with feedback about their experience. This can be done by email or by calling and requesting to speak with our Business Manager.
